Joey Berry Representing LSU Alumni on the Drums

Joey Berry, our FORTRESS Senior Project Manager, was honored with the opportunity to return to LSU to lead fellow band alumni with his drumset skills while entertaining home fans during the LSU men's basketball team victory over the No. 16-ranked University of Kentucky Wildcats on January 4th, 2022 at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center in Baton Rouge, LA.

Since the LSU marching band, affectionally known as "The Golden Band from Tigerland" (TGBFTL), traveled to the TaxAct Texas Bowl, band alumni comprised the basketball pep band traditionally known as the "The Bengal Brass."

The Four Notes Club, as alumni and supporters of the Tiger Band, enlisted alumni to relive the glory days of old and serve LSU once again. In reliving this experience, Joey noted, "This was an opportunity of a lifetime to return and play drumset for the Bengal Brass. Translating my four years' experience of marching LSU drumline into the drumset once again was even more fun than I remember twenty years ago. Laying down solid beats really engages the band and the entire stadium. I certainly hope to get this opportunity again!"

Way to go Joey – we are so proud to have you leading our team!
